Cautionary Tales for Chinese

Designed for the Admonition of Chinese between the ages
of three and one month before eighty

Chen Haoran,

Who ran away from his duty of having two kids, and was eaten by a DINK couple

There was a Boy whose name was Chen Haoran,
his friends were very good to him.
They gave him free shipping in Alibaba, spicy hot pot, and a cat,
and read him stories through and through.
But there it was the dreadful fate befell him, which I now relate.
You know—at least you ought to know.
For I have often told you so —
That Chinese people never are allowed to leave their duty of having two kids in a crowd;
Now this was Chen Haoran’s especial Foible,
he ran away when he was able,
And on this inauspicious day,
he slipped his hand and ran away!
He hadn’t gone a yard when—
With open Jaws, a DINK couple sprang,
and hungrily began to eat the Boy - beginning at his feet,
Now just imagine how it feels:
When first your toes and then your heels,
and then by gradual degrees
your shins and ankles, calves and knees,
are slowly eaten, bit by bit.
No wonder Chen Haoran detested it!
No wonder that he shouted “patriotism and dedication”
The duty of having two kids heard his cry,
almost ran to help the little gentleman.
“patriotism and dedication!”
he ordered as he came,
“patriotism and dedication!”
he cried, with angry Frown
The DINK couple made a sudden stop,
They let the dainty morsel drop,
and slunk reluctant to their cage,
snarling with disappointed rage,
But when the DINK couple bent over Chen Haoran,
Everything's too late.
The monster having reached their head,
The Miserable Chen Haoran was dead!
When duty of having two kids informed his Parents,
they were more concerned than I can say:
His Mother, as She dried her eyes, said,
“Well—it gives me no surprise,
He would not do as he was told!”
His Father, who was self-controlled,
bade all the children round attend
to Chen Haoran's miserable end,
And always keep a-hold of duty of having two kids,
for fear of finding something worse.

Explanation:
The passage describes in general terms how socialism with Chinese characteristics could protect Chinese citizens from being invaded and polluted by corrupted, rotten foreign culture.
In this option, the person escaped his gay friend and was eaten by his Resident Permit in Shanghai. The plot is incorrect because it accidently reverses the contradiction. Resident Permit in Shanghai authorizes citizens who are not from Shanghai to work happily in Shanghai, it's a symbol of stability and dignity. While gay culture is evil as it is anti-humanity, which is part of the decayed Western culture. This plot from the cautionary tale cannot correctly educate citizens, as it disobeys the core Socialism values.

The excerpt conveys a crucial moral, that Chinese citizens should be kepted happy with a mixture of deadeningly predictable, lowest common denominator entertainment for the soul and nourishment for the body, in order to clear threats of social riots or government subversion.
Gun ownership in the People's Republic of China (PRC) is strictly regulated by law. Generally, private citizens should not, and are not allowed to possess guns. Li Hua should be given more low-cost entertainments instead of a gun.
Therefore, Option A is correct.

Meiyan told such Dreadful Lies,

For once, towards the Close of Day,

Within an hour the Gallant Band
Were pouring in on every hand,
From Putney, Hackney Downs and Bow,
With Courage high and Hearts a-glow
They galloped, roaring through the Town,
“Meiyan’s House is Burning Down!”
They ran their ladders through a score
Of windows on the Ball Room Floor;
And took Peculiar Pains to Souse
The Pictures up and down the House,
Until Meiyan’s Aunt succeeded
In showing them they were not needed.
The other night,
That Night a Fire did break out—
You should have heard Meiyan Shout!
o People passing in the Street—
—but all in vain!
For every time She shouted “Fire!”
They only answered “Little Liar!”
And therefore when her Aunt returned,
Meiyan, and the House, were Burned.

In the story of Meiyan, who told lies, and was burned to death. it teaches an important moral, that Chinese should be cautious about, and responsible for what they say. If a Chinese tells lies, then his/her word would lose credibility, and won't be treated seriously; if a Chinese tells truth, then his/her word would be heard and accepted by others.
With his life threatened, Chen Haoran finally realized his protection only comes from obeying his nurse, so he shouted out "patriotism and dedication", which is one of the Core Socialist Value, a set of new official interpretations of Chinese propaganda about socialism promoted at the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in 2012.
The core Socialism can NEVER be a lie. The core Socialism doesn't have magic power. It's a guidance of your behaviour and attitude that benefits you and makes you a better person, who "keeps an unswerving faith to follow the Party with a lifetime practice". It has been tested and proved by many education experts from home and abroad.
We have reason to doubt that Chen Haoran still doesn't believe in the core Socialism value. He just wants to call for its protection without being willing to give out his loyalty to the Communist Party.
Therefore in this combination, the option A is incorrect, and option D is correct, which makes the combination incorrect.

The core Socialism doesn't have magic power. It won't suddenly change you into someone else, or bring you to another place. It's a guidance of your behaviour and attitude that benefits you and makes you a better person, who "keeps an unswerving faith to follow the Party with a lifetime practice". As for Chen Haoran, we have reason to doubt that Chen Haoran's word wasn't taken seriously by others because he is not an honest boy. He wants to call for the Communist Party's protection without being willing to give out his loyalty to the Communist Party.
Therefore in this combination, both options are incorrect.
